Kresge Art Museum Hosts "Art 21" Preview
Kresge Art Museum, in partnership with WKAR and PBS/Art 21, invites you to a discussion and screening of episode four of the new public television series Art in the 21st Century on Wednesday, October 7, at 7 p.m., in 108 Kresge Art Center.
Before the preview, guests will have the opportunity to view works featured on the Art 21 series that are a part of Kresge's permanent collection by artists William Kentridge, Carrie Mae Weems, Jeff Koons, and Julie Mehretu (an Ethiopian-American painter with East Lansing connections).
April Kingsley, Kresge Art Museum curator, will then introduce the series with a short talk.
Art 21 begins its fifth season on Wednesday, October 7, at 10 p.m. and focuses exclusively on contemporary art. In its most international season to date, the series reveals artists' perspectives on a variety of contemporary topics and showcases their working processes in their studios.
