WKAR eNews: Wed 10/28/09
WKAR begins its annual drive for the Greater Lansing Food Bank on November 1. We'll be collecting packaged food items (bagged/boxed/canned) through December 15, hoping to top our 222 bags received last year. As we all know, these are tough times for food banks and for our community's hungry. Please be as generous as you can. You'll find our collection bin in WKAR's south lobby in the Communication Arts building on the MSU campus. And thank you. In 2007, a slate of three candidates all won election to the Lansing Community College Board of Trustees. This year, there are two slates of candidates on the ballot. On "Morning Edition" tomorrow (Thursday), WKAR's Scott Pohl reports on next week's LCC Board election. Visit wkar.org/newsroom to listen to archived programs related to the election, including call-ins with Lansing's mayoral candidates. Jeanie Croope Editor
