WKAR eNews: Tue 6/10/08
WKAR-AM has been off the air due to power failure. Consumers Energy is working through thousands of customers without power, and we're expecting that they will get to us in short order. Understand that their priority is health and safety first, so they're working on folks on life support and downed lines, and then they'll get to us. We're trying to get it expedited and we're also working on getting a generator (a bit of a struggle in both instances, I'm afraid).

We continue to be available on the web (now 24 hours a day for the AM service) in four different formats, Windows Media, mp3, Real, and Quicktime.
WKAR-TV wrapped up its spring on-air membership campaign on Sunday night. The total, $100,971, was short of the $120,000 goal.

There is still time to make your end-of-the-fiscal year donation to WKAR at our secure page on WKAR.org.

Tonight (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. on WKAR-TV, we repeat "Michigan At Risk: Whatever Happened to Organized Labor," an award-winning documentary by the WKAR production team.
