WKAR Radio Series Presents "The Future of MSU"

WKAR Radio will broadcast three stories that look at the future of Michigan State University during local segments of "Morning Edition." Airing August 22-24, the series, produced by Erin Toner, examines various areas of the university and what may be ahead in coming years.

Michigan State University has been in the process of celebrating its 150th anniversary, and many events throughout the year have reflected the university's past. But it is also a time for administrators, faculty and students to consider the future.

In WKAR's three reports, Erin Toner looks at challenges and opportunities facing MSU, what physical changes might be in store for the campus and how technology is changing how professors teach and students learn.

Those interviewed in the stories are MSU President Lou Anna Simon, former Provost John Hudzik, Parks and Planning Director Jeff Kacos, Housing Director Angie Brown, student Sanchez Martin, Writing, Rhetoric and American Culture professor Danielle Nicole DeVoss and Vice Provost for Libraries, Computing and Technology David Gift.

The stories air at 5:35 and 7:35 a.m. on both 90.5 FM and AM 870. They will be available online for listening "on demand" at WKAR.org following their live broadcast.
