| Dave Collins Multi-Media Producer Interactive Video Services (IVS). Phone: 517 432-3120 extension 426 Email: DaveC@wkar.org Room: 535 CAS Dave Collins is a multi-media producer with Interactive Video Services (IVS) and chair of the Podcasting subcommittee. He has worked in video production for over 26 years with experience in broadcast, cable and web-based distribution systems and expertise in the creation of educational, historical, promotional and entertaining content. As a multi-media producer, he works with faculty and staff to assist in the production of course content using innovative digital tools. He works in the IVS production classrooms which are equipped with professional video production equipment to create streamed and podcast content. He provides faculty services which include pre-production, production, post-production and support. As the chair of the podcasting subcommittee he has worked with a variety of members from MSU’s Libraries, Computing and Technology (LC&T) units to form a team with the goal of introducing podcasting services to the MSU community. The subcommittee has researched production hardware and software, experimented with file formats, tested distribution systems and explored a variety of supportive services. The podcasting subcommittee is a part of the Emerging Technology Group which is dedicated to exploring new technology and sharing their findings for the benefit of the MSU community. |
