Ready To Learn combines public television’s award-winning children’s programs with materials to help make television a positive learning experience for children.

What Is Included In Ready to Learn?

• Non-violent, non-commercial children’s programming broadcast Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
  
• On-air educational messages between
  programs designed to help children
  build successful learning and problem-solving
  skills.
  
• Supplementary materials, including
  user’s guides, activity sheets and
  media literacy information to
  complement programming.
  
• The “First Book” program, which distributes
  free books to disadvantaged
  children who would not be able to own
  books.
  
• Families, a free newsletter providing
  advice and program-related activities
  for children in English.
